today was a great day! we had great weather and went 25.5 miles! we finally reached the illnois river and the current finally decided to flow with us and we traveled much faster. we realized today that scott forgot toilet paper, and i got hit in the face by a fish, and it wasn't a flying carp. we have high hopes of hittin 30 miles tomorrow and gettin past ottowa. we love yall and please continue to pray for us! p.s. the MREs are still tasty :)

ReplyDeleteSecondly, watch out for the 3-leaf variety (poison ivy) of plant-life; DO NOT USE it for TP. I personally know of a man who got horribly exposed and ended up in the hospital because of it - not the way you guys want to finish what sounds like a great time. Continue to be careful, duck when the fish jump, and have a great trip - you'll remember this for the rest of your lives.
